Tímea Mész

I am a clinical and mental health child and adolescent psychologist. I gained my professional experience in Pécs, first at the Esztergár Lajos Family Support and Child Welfare Centre and later at the University of Pécs Children’s Clinic, where I worked as a resident in inpatient and outpatient child psychiatry. I also provided psychological support to acutely hospitalised and chronically ill children and their families in somatic care.

My professional approach is grounded in the belief that the psyche heals in relationship. Diagnostic and therapeutic experiences can create an opportunity, within a difficult life situation, to reconnect safely with our inner world and even forgotten resources through being known and understood, while making external challenges more manageable. I continually enrich my therapeutic toolkit so that I can offer support tailored to each person. In accordance with my training, I use mentalization-based therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, and story and fairy-tale therapy.

At MURMO I primarily contribute to basic and complex diagnostic processes and individual therapy.
