Orsolya Dancsó

I am a clinical and mental health child and adolescent psychologist, a clinical neuropsychologist, an autogenic training and symbol therapist, and a mentalization-based psychotherapist in training (MBT-A). I began my career in educational counselling, early intervention, and the complex psychological care of children with hearing impairments. I then worked for ten years as a clinical psychologist at the Department and Outpatient Clinic of Child Neurology at Heim Pál National Paediatric Institute. My work included psychological support for children and families affected by developmental neurological and acquired nervous-system conditions, functional neurological symptoms, chronic pain, and other psychological difficulties.

I currently work with children, adolescents, young adults, and their families. My professional approach integrates neuropsychology and clinical psychology with experience in neuropsychological and psychiatric habilitation and rehabilitation, as well as current neuroscientific knowledge. My work is guided by evidence-based methods and a neuroaffirmative perspective.

As professional lead of the MURMO Neurodevelopmental Team, I coordinate the complex diagnostic and therapeutic care of children and adolescents with neurodevelopmental conditions. I consider diagnosis the foundation of our shared work: my aim is for every child and family to receive support through a personalised care pathway based on the child’s individual functioning, strengths, and current needs.
