Mátyás Boros

Mátyás Boros is a visual artist. He earned his MA in Printmaking at the Hungarian University of Fine Arts, and then expanded his professional knowledge in the postgraduate programme “Education through Art – Art Therapy in Pedagogy” at Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design.

His work focuses on the visual arts, creative processes and their application in community, educational and supportive settings. He has worked with both children and adults in art sessions, workshops, museum education programmes and creative camps.

Between 2014 and 2022, he held weekly therapeutic art sessions for children living in the reception homes of the Budapest Child Protection Service. Previously, in the “Cset szoba” interactive film club of the Otthon Segítünk Foundation, he used visual art tools to help participants work through current topics.

He has led museum education and art programmes at venues including the Ludwig Museum, the Deák17 Children’s and Youth Art Gallery and various other cultural institutions. Between 2023 and 2025, he was workshop master of the printmaking workshop of Hungarian Art & Business, where, in addition to running the workshop and supporting the artists’ creative work, he organised talks and led workshops and creative programmes for children.

Within the MURMO community, he contributes to the professional work in the field of the visual arts.
