Diána Horváth

I am Dia, a clinical and mental health child and adolescent psychologist and dance therapist. I completed my university studies at the University of Szeged and obtained my specialist qualification at the University of Pécs. I am committed to method-specific and non-verbal therapeutic approaches: I am qualified as an autogenic training therapist, an autogenic training therapist for pregnancy, childhood, and adolescence, and an integrated expression and dance therapist. I have nearly two decades of experience in hospital and pedagogical service settings, with extensive expertise in complex child psychiatric and projective diagnostics, early intervention, and therapeutic work.

My clinical work is guided by a holistic, integrative, and expressive-therapy approach in which verbal support is closely intertwined with body-oriented and non-verbal techniques. During my years at the National Institute of Psychiatry and Neurology and the Child Psychiatry Department of Heim Pál Children’s Hospital, I developed a deep commitment to the complex, systemic care of child psychiatric conditions and to the early screening and intervention of regulatory disorders in infancy and early childhood. I believe that supporting the balance of body and mind and incorporating relaxation and movement can help children and adolescents work through internal tension and overcome blocks.

In my clinical practice I conduct child and adolescent psychological diagnostics and state assessments using complex ability, attention, and projective tests. I also provide individual therapy and autogenic training for children and adolescents. My specialist expertise includes early childhood intervention and counselling for infant and toddler regulatory disorders, complemented by individual and group support informed by integrated expression and dance therapy.

Drawing on this broad clinical experience, I actively support colleagues in the Newcomer programme by helping them develop diagnostic skills, shape their approach to case management, and integrate into everyday professional practice.

Within MURMO and Pro Juventa, I contribute particularly to the foundation’s educational and training work related to Child Rorschach methodology. By sharing my clinical and group-leadership experience, I aim to support young professionals and help future generations of psychologists gain a closer understanding of real-world therapeutic and diagnostic practice.
