The Lotilko Program\u2019s comprehensive care groups\u2014 Magic Box (Var\u00e1zsdoboz) (ages 9\u201312) and Safe Harbor (Szabad kik\u00f6t\u0151) (ages 12\u201314)\u2014provide an opportunity for children to address more serious emotional and behavioral difficulties before adolescence. These may include challenges with social connection, difficulties attending school, anxiety, eating and mood disorders, psychosomatic symptoms, or self-harming behaviors. Early intervention can also help reduce social isolation, antisocial behavior, and gaming addiction.<\/div>\n

Within the peer group setting, pre-adolescents receive positive examples and valuable feedback from children their own age, helping them better understand their own patterns of behavior and develop healthier ways of connecting with others. Through creative activities and play, participants can experiment with new relationship patterns, roles, and coping strategies. The group environment, together with the support of the group leaders, helps reinforce those patterns and skills that can serve them effectively in the future. For children who may have experienced exclusion in other environments or who struggle with negative self-esteem, it can be a deeply important experience to discover that within the group, their strengths, talents, and individuality can emerge and be appreciated.<\/div>\n

Throughout the work carried out on an individual, group, and family level, difficulties often surface that may not have been previously visible. The year-long therapeutic process provides the time and space needed to explore and work through these challenges.<\/div>\n

This comprehensive program creates an opportunity for serious emotional or behavioral difficulties to improve before they become chronic conditions. The group setting and integrated care approach help children develop healthier tools for managing peer-related challenges, reducing the likelihood that emotional distress will turn into illness or maladaptive coping patterns. Instead of experiencing peer relationships primarily as a source of stress, children can begin to experience them as a source of support and strength. The healing potential of creativity and play can activate children\u2019s own natural self-healing processes, helping them develop more mature and resilient coping strategies for the challenges of adolescence.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
