An art therapy group for young adolescents aged 12\u201314 with neurodevelopmental differences (ASD, ADHD). The group supports understanding one's own way of functioning and developing a positive sense of identity, while promoting peer relationships, self-expression, mentalization, increasing independence and adaptive coping strategies. It also aims to help prevent social anxiety and secondary emotional difficulties, strengthen intrinsic motivation and support flexible adaptation.<\/p><\/section>\n\n\n\n

Detailed professional description<\/h3>\n

The Kiskonnekt group combines<\/strong> complex art therapy and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) elements
in an ASD-specific therapeutic session for young adolescents aged 12\u201314 with high-functioning autism
spectrum disorder (ASD).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Age group<\/strong>: children aged 12\u201314 (upper-primary pupils)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Focus<\/strong>: Emotional and relational difficulties, sensory sensitivities, anxiety,
mood disorders, low self-esteem, social isolation, secondary psychological problems, and the
challenges arising from atypical neurodevelopment on the threshold of adolescence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Methodology<\/strong>: Use of sensory, expressive and creative art therapy techniques,
behavioural therapy tools to raise awareness of relational patterns, and the development of mentalization
skills for a more accurate understanding of intentions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Differential diagnosis<\/strong>:
Ongoing attention to distinguishing conditions secondary to autism from comorbid conditions, with
psychiatric follow-up provided.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
